a compound Found in Green tea epigallocatechin 3 gallatte (EGCG) could trigger a process in the mitochondria causing cell death, leaving only healthy cells. it also further reduces the defensive capabilities of the cancer cells by lowering the expression of anti-oxidant genes.
EGCG could also increase the protective capabilities of cells.
